Personalization means a relevant problem
Repeating a company name does not make a video useful. Show a relevant task and explain why the selected example applies. Do not assign the recipient a problem you have not observed. If it is a hypothesis, describe it as one rather than presenting a diagnosis of their business.
Choose one reason for the message before writing: answering a product question or continuing an agreed discussion, for example. A short video does not need to become a complete presentation of every service. Specific context makes it easier to propose one appropriate next step.
A useful outreach structure
| Part | Purpose | Example wording |
|---|---|---|
| Context | Explain the reason | This answers your question about… |
| Example | Show relevance | This screen illustrates… |
| Limitation | Avoid overpromising | This approach fits when… |
| Next step | Offer a simple choice | We can try your example if useful |
A condition makes the offer more precise. If your approach needs a particular process, say so. Do not present demonstration figures as evidence of a customer outcome. Persuasion should come from the match between the problem and the example, not unsupported performance claims.
A sample script
You asked whether a report could be explained without a long meeting. I’ll show a short format: the conclusion first, then one screen explaining why.
Here we highlight only the weekly change. The other figures remain in the document for a detailed review.
If this suits your team, we can try the format with one real report.
This illustrates a structure, not a universal bulk message. Substitute the actual reason for contact. Do not end with several competing demands. Sometimes asking whether the task is relevant is more appropriate than immediately requesting a long meeting or a purchase commitment.
Avoid a memorized-pitch feeling
Prepare three blocks in Takt and use your usual wording. A larger camera view can suit the opening, while camera plus screen supports the example. Change composition when the content changes, rather than solely to create movement. Verify that the transition does not hide an object the recipient needs to see.
Remove vague promises such as a “unique comprehensive solution” unless you explain what they mean concretely. A prompter is useful for accurate context and a clear ending, but the script still needs conversational language. Record two short takes and choose the one that makes sense without extra explanation.
Review before delivery
Download and open the result, then check the recipient’s name, labels, and displayed data. An incorrect context can be more damaging to a personalized video than a minor verbal stumble. Use an appropriate agreed channel. Having a recording ready is not a reason to distribute it indiscriminately without considering recipients’ expectations.
Should the first video include pricing?
If pricing is the actual question, answer it clearly with conditions. If the recipient is evaluating fit, explain the task and example first. The script should respond to the real question rather than follow an identical sales sequence for everyone. Relevance is the useful organizing principle.
